I am an award-winning copywriter and creative leader with agency and client-side experience as a creative director, communications manager, advertising copy chief, and marketing consultant. Whichever hat I wear, I rely on creativity, strategic collaboration, and a unique set of skills to inform, promote and problem-solve.
A seasoned wordsmith and NY Times best-selling author, I've had 10 books and hundreds of articles and blog posts published, launched two new magazines, served two editorships, and helped build and optimize many websites, social media channels, and email campaigns. I've also led creative teams to support client rebranding, e-commerce and lead generation efforts.
I have produced effective creative work for many well-known brands, including Sports Authority, Kaplan Higher Ed, The Hartford, Scholastic, Brookstone, and numerous nonprofits and universities. My proudest accomplishment was writing a grant proposal that garnered a $1 million dollar NY State grant for an upstart AIDS organization.
I hold an MA in strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University and a BA in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
